Helena takes a stand against anti-social behaviour

A man from Sutton has recently been taken to court by Helena's Tenancy Enforcement Team due to his on-going anti-social behaviour.

After working with partners from St Helena Council, Merseyside Police, as well as local residents, the allegations included the tenant's dog being out of control and causing nuisance, plus reports of on-going drug use at the property by the tenant and his visitors.

Following the tenant admitting to all claims against him, agreeing to abide by conditions set out in court, as well as to making weekly payments towards his rent arrears, Helena agreed a suspended possession order with the tenant which was approved by the district judge at the final hearing.

Neil Fairhurst, Senior Neighbourhood Manager said: "If any of the conditions outlined in court are breeched Helena can apply for an eviction of this tenant straight away without having to go back to court. This order provides protection and a swift outcome for surrounding residents, whose help has been invaluable over the past months.

At Helena we know the safety of our neighbourhoods is a top concern for our customers, and as a trusted social landlord we are committed to supporting those experiencing anti-social behaviour and to tackling these issues."
