New look Parrmount Court launched

Helena residents at Parrmount Court have recently benefitted from an extensive refurbishment and are now asking health professionals, care managers, as well as potential future residents, to join them at their launch day on Monday 7th September.

Running from 10.30am-3pm, tenants will give visitors a tour of the sheltered scheme, demonstrate facilities, provide entertaining performances and refreshments, as well as be on hand, along with staff and care teams, to answer questions about living independently for longer.

The £300,000 spent on improving communal areas throughout the scheme in Fingerpost was completed in consultation with residents. These included installing new safety glass hand rails and balustrades, upgrading flooring and ventilation, new lighting and improved Entrance and Warden Call systems.

Joan Morris, said: "Myself and other residents, have been involved every step of the way, choosing everything from the colour of the paint, picking flowers and what we use to reupholster the furniture.

Helena really took what we had to say on board; we love the finished results and are really proud of how it looks."

Debbie Cason, Extra Care Manager at Parrmount Court, said: "We wanted to ensure that the money invested was used to deliver future-proof improvements that benefitted our customers for years to come.

By residents leading the launch day themselves visitors will get a real taste of what life here is like from the people that matter most."
